A fun cover showing off a Don Post Frankenstein mask. Funny, but I always thought it was strange (no pun intended) that they would use Glenn Strange as the model and not Karloff. Maybe it was a legal matter about using Boris’ likeness? I still have a couple of Monster World magazines, though they’re in pretty bad shape. It’s interesting how Famous Monsters added the ten MW issues to the FM count, so they could reach issue #100 faster.
Born in the late 50's, a kid in the 60's, a teen in the 70's, I'm "forever-fourteen." Monsters, spooky stuff, sci-fi and Star Trek captured my imagination as a youth and the memories made will never fade. The profile photo symbolizes the efforts of my stepdad to rid me of my "childish" interests, as he called them; at which, not being a man of strong imagination, he failed.
