(Click on image to view in horror-scopic enormity!) Equal parts awesome and awful: the blood-drenched poster art for the best Dracula movie ever made by Hammer, or anyone else for that matter. Lee was born to play the Prince of Vampires, even if the poster looks very little like him.
Blood drool!
ReplyDeleteI wonder from where this artwork originates. It's clearly not from the 1958 original nor any reissue I know of; notice Christopher Lee's rendered image has been supplanted by Robert Quarry's from COUNT YORGA, VAMPIRE. And that blonde sure isn't Melissa Stribling!
ReplyDeleteClearly a fake. The woman is a photo -- they didn't do that in '58. The bat is a cartoon. Don't know who gave you this, but...at least they tried.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious as to the origins of this poster as well, but I wouldn't put it past some distributor to make their own for a re-issue of the film in later years. They turned out some rough stuff like that. If anyone knows, enlighten us!
